Awesome tasting Burmese food here in SFO! Service is on point and the ambiance is really inviting and loved the drinks here!. Why 4 stars then? You may ask. Well, the food was good but not great at some levels . Loved the chicken curry with potatoes, so comforting and juicy and really enjoyed it . And I really get what the hype about tea leaf salad was: it was a refreshing and very energizing salad with so many textures but with simple ingredients . However, the spicy noodles did not really impress us and the mint chicken was okay, it had some bland textures and not an interesting element to it. Would have tasted more interesting with some kind of crispy veggies or peanuts to it to add to the taste . You can mix the tea leaf salad and the mint chicken to get the right texture and taste levels, if you are picky like me ;) and the parking was a bit of a turn off as we wasted quite some time trying to find parking but that is not the restaurant's fault and we found this parking garage nearby . Overall, worth the visit for the drinks and tea leaf salad !

Looove the dishes there, especially the rotis and the salas. Never had anything bad there! A bit noisy and pricey though.

Burmese food for me is to die for. Burma love knows how to get it right! I got the chicken fried rice and the eggplant shrimp and they were out of this world. Really flavorful, even the fried rice itself could be a meal. I also got this tamarind cocktail which was delicious. We came here for a birthday and they even brought out a celebratory dessert on the house upon request! For dessert, fried banana was my favorite - the paratha desert was just okay especially with the coconut ice cream tasting kind of funky. Really lively and great for large groups with convenient reservations.

We had a FEVER event to attend at the The Chan National Queer Arts Center. This restaurant was a block or two away. Perfect! Sister restaurant to Burma Superstar! If you love Superstar, then you'll love this place! Spacious, modern, with a lot more tables. Tea leaf salad did not disappoint.
